News and Event

The one-year celebration is intended to explore the historical and archaeological aspects of Ayutthaya, one of Asia’s important living sources of civilization. Phraya Boranrajathanin is a key figure who pioneered the conservation work and sustained the cultural heritage of Ayutthaya. His success in anchoring the study of modern archaeology, the development of the historical and archaeological body of knowledge, and the initiation of regional museums, paves the way for Ayutthaya to be selected as The World Heritage.

The celebration will encourage the global community to work together to conserve, promote, and pass on a sustainable cultural heritage to future generations. The celebration also aims to create a network of co-development of global cultural heritage sites, making them lifelong learning places which will support sustainable development of each country, ASEAN, and the whole world.
