มรดกดีเด่น(Significant heritage)

          เนื้อหาจะกล่าวถึงมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมของจังหวัดสุรินทร์ที่โดดเด่นและเป็นที่รู้จักโดยทั่วไป คือ งานศิลปหัตถกรรม ได้แก่ การทำเครื่องประดับเงินและการทอผ้าไหม ศิลปะการแสดงพื้นบ้าน ได้แก่ การแสดงเรือมอันเร(การรำสาก) การละเล่นเจรียง รวมถึงดนตรีพื้นบ้าน เช่น วงกันตรึม วงมโหรี และการเลี้ยงช้าง ซึ่งเป็นเอกลักษณ์ที่โดดเด่นเป็นที่รู้จักของคนทั่วโลก ในส่วนการจัดแสดงจะใช้โบราณวัตถุ ศิลปวัตถุ หุ่นจำลอง ภาพถ่าย วีดิทัศน์ และเครื่องเล่นแผ่นเสียง เป็นสื่อให้เห็นถึงการแสดงพื้นบ้าน การผลิตและใช้ประโยชน์จากงานหัตถกรรม มีหุ่นจำลองและวีดิทัศน์เรื่องการจัดแสดงศิลปหัตถกรรมพื้นบ้าน ฉากจำลองบรรยากาศหมู่บ้านเลี้ยงช้างและวีดิทัศน์เกี่ยวกับวิถีชีวิตของคนเลี้ยงช้าง ให้ผู้เข้าชมได้ทราบถึงมรดกภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นสุรินทร์ที่มีมาในอดีตและยังคงรับใช้ชุมชนอยู่จนกระทั่งปัจจุบัน

Significant heritage

          Exhibits highlight the well – known cultural heritage of Surin province: handicrafts, such as silver ornaments and silk weaving; folk performances such as “Ruam”, or local dancing, “Jariang”, or local singing, and local music such as “Kantruem”; and elephant training, for which Surin is famous throughout the world. Models, photographs and audio – visual displays illustrate handicraft production, and samples of silk cloth and silver are on display. A model of an elephant training village, as well as audio – visual displays, help visitors to learn about the heritage of local wisdom from ancient times to the present.    

ำลองการประกอบพิธีแกลมอ (Healing ceremony) ของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์กวย(Kuay)หุ่นจำลองการประกอบพิธีการ์แซน(การแต่งงาน) Wedding ของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์เขมร(Khmer)และภาพถ่ายเกี่ยวกับขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีบายศรีสู่ขวัญ สภาพความเป็นอยู่ของกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ลาว(Lao)ซึ่งจะสื่อถึงสภาพวิถีชีวิต ลักษณะเด่นทางวัฒนธรรมของแต่ละกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ที่ประกอบกันเป็นคนสุรินทร์ในปัจจุบัน และยังมีข้อมูลต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องบรรจุอยู่ใน Computer Touch Screen ให้ศึกษาค้นคว้าได้โดยละเอียด

 

Ethnology

          Displays here focus on the population of Surin province, which can be divided into three groups: the Kuay, who excelled at catching and training elephants, the Khmer, the original inhabitants of Surin province, and the Laos, a later group who immigrated to Surin province. Models depict the houses, ceremonies, photographs and paintings, daily tools, and objects reflecting the lives and cultures of the three groups. A computer touch screen provides additional information.
